All Entrants to the New Jeweller Competition will be invited to attend a Question Time Master Class presented by the Judges.
At this Question Time Master Class the Judges will discuss their experiences in the industry taking questions on any topic from design to keeping accounts.
All design sample pieces and the work showing the suite designed will be exhibited at Canary Blue for the month of December 2016.
Our customers will be encouraged to vote for their favourite piece and the winning design will be announced on Christmas Eve.
The sample pieces will not be offered for sale, but Canary Blue can offer to facilitate orders against the designs.
The Canary Blue website and facebook page will feature all entrants and their designs and finished pieces. Local and national press will be approached for coverage of the competition
Truro College will host a Presentation Event on 28 November 2016 when the commended designs will be announced and one jeweller from these will be declared the winner of the Canary Blue New Jeweller Competition 2016
Designers and makers of the commended and winning pieces will be provided with materials to create samples (silver /CZ) of the jewellery suite designed for the competition.
These sample pieces will be displayed in our Truro shop from January to December 2017 as part of our retail offering. Subject to a contract arrangement with the designer/maker, this means that we can offer our customers these designs as "made to order" in any metal using any stones.
The designer/maker of the winning piece as selected by the Judges will be able to choose materials and/or equipment to the value of £250 from our suppliers.
The designer/maker of the piece chosen as the Customers' Favourites will be able to choose materials and/or equipment to the value of £100 from our suppliers.
